Finished!

I finished my house! This is definitely the most aesthetically pleasing project I have done to date.  I'm very happy with how it turned out!

Also, this used a total of 1700 cobblestone between making smooth stone and half steps.. I had just enough stored up to create this

Next project..

This is about half way done; it took me about 2 hours to get it this far between clearing land and building and such.  This will probably be my most aesthetically pleasing house to date. The completed house will be 3 stories tall!

Oh god flaming arrow

Apparently, Skeletons on fire shoot flaming arrows..... well played, Notch, well played.. you have successfully scared the shit out of me once again.

Exploring, Exploring, Exploring.. wait WTF is that??!?

I just came across this portal to hell that I did not make. Zombie pigmen may have invaded my world and opened a pathway to the nether for their brethren.

Decide for yourself: invasion? random occurrence? is that sheep a creeper in disguise? More news at 5.

Haven't Posted in a while..

I'm really enjoying the new sun effects with the update. I'm working on making a house in hell so I'll be sure to show you guys that later on. (sadly I've been busy lately so I haven't got much of anything awesome to show you)

My portal. It is ready.

In preparation for hell, I mined 64 obsidian blocks.  I am ready to venture forth into the abyss.

Minecraft for iPod?

As seen here: http://minecraftapp.net/ This is unrelated to Notch's Minecraft, as confirmed by his twitter.  This looks very interesting, though.  I would think this would infringe on copyright notch owns on minecraft, so we'll see more about this when more info is released

Ghasts are fucking HUGE.

Seen in this picture, Ghasts look to be at least 6 long by 6 high by 3 or 4 deep.  In other words: GHASTS ARE FUCKING HUGE.  I'm getting nervous about venturing forth into Hell.  First I will have to create my portal and for that, I must venture to the depths and find diamond, and then Obsidian.

My Entrance thus far

Here is my entrance to my house thus far, dug into the side of a mountain.  I hope you all enjoy it.  I should be expanding all the way through the mountain (eventually), but right now I really need to find some diamond... I am going through Iron way too quickly

He looks so lonely... Also, this is about as far as I have gotten on my new world.  A small cave dug into the side of the mountain.  This world is pretty great, though.  There are tons of natural caves all over the place and there are many mountains as well.  For example:

Lost all my saves

Today is a tragic day.
I went to open iTunes and it said it couldn't open due to corrupted quicktime files.  I figured a restart might help, but then windows couldn't boot! After that, windows tried to do a system recovery to fix all these corrupted files and what not, but that also failed! I had to revert to using my system recovery tool, deleting all my files on my system.  Sadly, this erased all my minecraft saves.
But, I will survive.  I will mine once again.
